Unit Operational Risk Manager - Information Technology & Operations

Job description

  1. To implement Quality Assurance control in all units in Operations relating to application and transaction processes.
  2. To ensure all new and update procedures and relevant local regulations related with Operations can be implemented and complied.
  3. To undertake periodic self-assessment on key controls to access the proper functioning and adequacy of existing controls.
  4. Assist in coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of operational risk and its implementation and management of Operational Risk within Operations unit


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Strategy and policy
  2. Actively participate to recommend solutions to quality opportunities then develop and implements test of procedures
  3. Good communication
  4. Follow up any Ops Risks issues to related unit Operations.
  5. Escalate Ops Risks issues to related ITO management team, including but not limited to ITO Head of Risk and Control, related RCOs and Country Ops Risk, as per current Ops Risk Reporting policy
  6. Business Performance
  7. Prepare and update Ops Risk monthly report for relevant Ops risk forum (BORF, FORC and CORC on monthly basis)
  8. Prepare and monitor dashboard, to ensure all task and issues are tabled and properly managed. 
  9. Compliance and Risk
  10. Assist Operation units to review and update SLA and DOI.
  11. Review and approve KCSA, KCI and CST checking result within stipulated time.
  12. Review KRI Report and Operational Loss Report within the pre-determined period
  13. Perform periodic process reviews especially for high risk processes in Operation units
  14. To assist ITO Head of Risk and Control in implementing and monitoring Risk management approach in Operation units as per ORF
  15. To identify and report all KCSA, CST and KRI exceptions and non compliance procedure with standard controls, work with the unit on action plans and monitor the completion of the action plan as per agreed cut off time
  16. To maintain proper record keeping on all KCSA and CST checking activities
  17. Monitor and control issues and ensure event and loss is registered in Phoenix as per Operational Loss and Report Policy
  18. Assist respective unit to close outstanding issues as per agreed target date

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Graduate degree
  2. Solid background in risk management and knowledge of Retail/ WM and Cash Management processes, policies and regulations which includes but not limited to: Customer Due Diligence, PBI, POJK, etc.
  3. Meticulous, with an eye for details
  4. Good interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Good team management and leadership skills
  6. Strong in MS Office skills
