Career Piping Designer - SPRD - Virginia, USA

AA/AAS degree with at least 2 years of experience in Engineering or Drafting

Must have 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Must be a US citizen

Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
2 year certificate in Engineering/Drafting or CAD related field of study

The primary role of a Piping/Layout Designer is to work under the direction of the Engineering Group Supervisor or other senior designers.

Work includes the modeling and preparation of drawings/documents for general arrangements and piping isometrics drawings.

Assist with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e. input, interference reconciliation, etc. with other physical related disciplines.

Accept technical and administrative direction from the group supervisor during the preparation of above ground piping designs.

Interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of piping designs for the purpose of model/space control, etc.

Perform coordination review of specifications and other documents prepared by others.
