7. Vibration Technician (Code: VT)
shall have a minimum 7 years experience in condition monitoring especially on vibration data collection and analysis.
Competencies are mandatory:
a. Understand basic knowledge of condition monitoring
b. Understand the purpose of collecting a certain type of vibration data
c. Understand how vibration can indicate that a fault condition exists
d. Understand how to correctly measure the vibration
e. Ability to download and upload routes, follow the routes, record field observations, recognize when the test must be repeated.
Note :
a. Two of VT must be at least certified as Vibration Analyst Category I (refer to ISO 18436-2 2014)
b. Four of six VT must be at least certified as Vibration Analyst Category II (refer to ISO 18436-2 2014)
They shall are qualified to:
• Operate portable data collectors and pre-assigned routes
• Acquire readings from permanently installed instrumentation, such as BN 3500, BN 1900, etc
• Input results into a database and download routes from a computer
• Conduct testing under steady-state operating conditions following predefined procedures
• Be aware of some of the causes and effects of bad measurement data
• Compare overall or signal value vibration measurements against pre-established alert settings
• Analysis of the condition monitoring data according to the certification level
• Create a simple report on alarm status of the measured parameter
• Classify, interpret and evaluate the test results (including acceptance tests) in accordance with applicable specifications and standards
• Maintain a database of results and trends
• Able to communicate effectively and write good reports
• Perform basic )single-channel) impact tests to determine natural frequencies (for Category II or above)
• Understand basic single-plane and two –plane field balancing concepts (for Category II or above)
• Perform basic vibration analysis of machinery and components such as shafts, bearings, gears, fans, pumps, and motors using spectrum analysis (for Category II or above)
• Recommend minor corrective actions (for Category II or above)
8. Lube Oil Technician (Code: LOT)
shall have a min 7 years experiences in electrical condition monitoring especially on lube oil data collection and analysis
Competencies are mandatory:
a. Basic knowledge of condition monitoring
b. Understand the purpose of collecting a certain type of oil sample
c. Understand how to collect a sample with a minimum contamination from surrounding environment or from cross sampling
d. Understand how to operate oil sampling tool such as vacuum pump, drop tube, minimess valve, etc
e. Understand how to document operating condition while oil sample was taken
f. Understand how to operate an oil sample for dispatch to the oil laboratory
Note: LOT must be certified at least as level 1 lube oil analysts (refer to ICML – International Council For Machinery Lubrication). They shall be qualified to:
• Install sampling hardware such that a representative sample may be efficiently and repeatedly extracted from mechanical systems commonly found on oil and gas installations
• Effectively extract representative samples from typical industrial machinery, and prepare them for analysis
• Employ basic oil analysis techniques to identify and troubleshoot conditions of wring or degraded lubricant, and devise and implement corrective actions.
• Employ basic oil analysis to identify and troubleshoot contaminated lubricant conditions, and devise and implement corrective actions
• Employ basic oil analysis techniques to identify and troubleshoot abnormal machine wear conditions, and devise and implement corrective actions
• Inspect and receive new oil deliveries.
9. Condition Monitoring Coordinator (Code: CMC)
Shall be qualified to:
a. Responsible for the management of the Contractor’s Personnel and the generation of the weekly and yearly report
b. Responsible for Contractor’s compliance to Company’s HSE regulation as HSE representative
c. Competent to perform and/or direct machinery vibration measurements, and vibration analysis for single-channel measurement, with or without phase trigger signals, according to established and recognized procedures.
d. Capable of carrying out oil sampling and troubleshooting routine problems identified by lab test results/field lubricant inspections.
e. CMC Must be at least certified as Vibration Analyst Category II (refer to ISO 18436-2 2014)
f. CMC min 5 years experiences in condition monitoring for S1 or min 7 years experiences in condition monitoring for D3
g. CMC must be certified by AK3 Migas within the first year of Contract period


10. Electric Technician and Analyst (Code: ETA)
Shall have min 7 years experiences in electrical condition monitoring and fully experience on performing electrical condition monitoring activities that are specified on this contract.
Competencies are mandatory:
a. Understand electrical equipment maintenance philosophies
b. Understand HV, MV and LV electrical equipment condition monitoring
c. Understand Electrical Safety
d. Understand the purpose of collecting a certain type of electrical parameter data
e. Understand how to collect an electrical parameter data (such as current spectrum, partial discharge, tan delta) with a correct method
f. Understand how to install and operate measurement tool such as motor current analysis firmware, infrared thermograph, PD analyzer including sensor installation, tan delta analyzer and shaft voltage analysis
g. Understand how to document electrical parameter data was taken,
h. Understand how to interpret electrical parameter data was taken, reviewing the trending and give recommendation based on data taken
i. Understand the requirement of working in hazardous area and electrical equipment installation in Hazardous area.
j. Shall certified level 2 in infrared thermograph applications and has attended mandatory training of Electrical Safety based on NFPA 70E or OSHA.
k. ETA min 5 years experiences in condition monitoring for S1 or min 5 years experiences in condition monitoring for D3, min 3 years in electrical condition monitoring in Oil & Gas industry.
